So I'm a lurker who decided to get the opinion from you guys on this scenario. I think it adds a little spice compared to the all to common "is this city's market saturated, and are pharmacists called Dr posts."

First, I'm a male, and the pharmacist is a female. I'm an intern.

I've worked with her a few times. She's very cute, were the same age, nice personality, all that jazz. I'm pretty sure she's single, and yea we get along well and all that jazz. She's a floater as well if you find that important.

Just wanna get your impression. Is it inappropriate for an intern to ask out a pharmacist? Would I be wasting my time because I'm still a student (side note: I'm not broke and I live on my own)? She's definitely not the gold digger type. Give me some advice and we'll take it from there.

Be careful...you could run into problems with corporate policies depending on the company, how other employees react, and your supervisor...if they found out. Then if things go south...u don't wanna get a bad rep.

and figure out the whole "pretty sure she's single" thing...u kno what they say tho...no ring...

Forget that she is a pharmacist and just go for her how you would normally go for a regular girl. To be honest, most relationships from my experience happens in the first 48 hours (and confirmed by episode of scrubs). If you dont kiss her within 48 hours of meeting her, you guys will forever remain friends/co workers.

With that said, is it me or do most female pharmacists go for losers...
 
She prolly has herpes. I say it is a no go.
 
I'd say go for it...only because shes a floater.

On another note...I used to work with this one really hot staff pharmacist & he would always brag about the techs he had hooked up with. Totally inappropriate!

Depends on what you consider a loser lol.

I totally agree with you on that statement there. Actually, I believe that most women will know within 30 seconds, whether subconsciously or consciously, whether or not there will ever be anything between her and the guy she just met. I've never actually had a women disagree with me on this in my entire life. First impression is important. I think I made a pretty good first impression though.

As for the herpes thing, I really, really, really doubt it haha 🙂
 
Nobody can give you any advice unless they're there and know the situation. I'd have to see how she is around you, how she treats you vs. everyone else, etc. You have any female techs there you are tight with? They can be your own personal recon army.

I'd agree with the 48 hour thing, too. (Maybe longer than that...) I've only had one girl in my entire life reject me...and she knew I liked her for months...
 
only if she's as hot as Spiriva =)

Do NOT date someone who you could potentially work with in the future. It will only lead to awkward times.

There are like a billion other women out there who you can date that could not possibly get you fired.

I guess I'm an exception to that 48 hour rule. It's either that or because me and my g/f are both religiously conservative, and technically there isn't supposed to be dating in the religion, but this is the 2000s, and its the new way of doing stuff, so w/e.

48 hours is too short of a period of time to kiss someone you just met. You barely know anything about someone in that time period.

I think OP should hurry up before the floater lands a staff position in another store. 🙂

This is why it is useful to have females that are friends who you'd never do anything with.

IMO, I say, whatever, it's your life. You have the clearance to screw it up as much or as little as you like.

BTW I'm not asking for "dating advice," which is what you guys took it as. I was asking to see if it was against professional boundaries to do it being her a superior, same work place, etc. If I want to land it than I'll try to land it, don't need help in that department. Just don't want to break the whole "professionalism" wall, and all that other jazz 🙂

If she's your soulmate and the woman of your dreams, screw work place ethics and get her now.

If you're not concerned about having a job with this company, ask her out.

If you believe your career is more important and keep everything professional, stay off.

I don't know if I would look better in my Miami Band of the Hour Marching Band uniform would look better than the bird...then again, we still have more titles than Florida. You still have a lot of catching up to do...
