Any recommendations for CE training or resources to gain more assessment training? Im a licensed psych but didn't get extensive training in psych evals/report writing. I can administer most assessments, but I'm definitely not proficient in report writing. I don't want to lose the skill altogether, but I'm not in school anymore to just do a practicum in the area. Any thoughts?

So there are at least a couple issues here. The one issue that you talk about, report writing is the easier issue. Plenty of resources out there that help in assessment report writing, just depends on what types of assessments. The more important issue, though, is the interpretation of those instruments in clinical contexts. Many people can be trained to administer the instruments, that's not the hard part. You mention that you did not get extensive training in assessment, so I assume that means you do not have a extensive training in interpreting those assessments in clinical contexts. The specific dearth of that training will determine what you need to alleviate that concern, as well as what you plan on doing with the assessments. We need more information.

agreed. I have primarily done assessments with adults and some kids for adhd (administering, interpreting, and report writing). I think I'd like to continue that or explore other areas but want to get more training first. I want to do some assessments on the side, not as a full-time job. I've attended some training on using AI for report writing but I still don't trust it and prefer to do it myself, just more efficiently. What other info do you need?

1) Is there a reason why you're not following ethical guidelines about supervision, instead of just getting CEs?
2) When you say "licensed psych", are you a licensed PSYCHOLOGIST? Or are you obfuscating your actual professional title?

I would strongly recommend seeking supervision. Assessment is more than just report writing and someone needs to have a fundamental understanding of psychometrics, the literature, etc. You said that you are doing ADHD evals and it will be helpful to be mindful of what the data says about using cognitive test data for diagnosis clarification.
