Hi - What are your thoughts on the ASTRO Refresher course as available for purchase on the astro website.

Is it similar to the one at ASTRO this year at San Diego? Thank you!

The refresher courses are geared towards giving a general overview of a specific disease site, hitting the high points, with focus on the most important aspects of those sites. The ASTRO sessions are more focused on a specific topic within each disease site. I think they supplement one another well.

If you are trying to study and review a topic in a concise format the ASTRO refresher is way better. Some of the different site talks are absolutely excellent like Breast and CNS from last year and some are not quite as much. The talks at the actually ASTRO conference tend to focus in on some details rather then a broad overview of an entire site.
