Sprgrover said:That's a big decision and one you can only make for yourself. Based on your post it seems that what is motivating you towards medicine is the value and esteem that others place on it versus dentistry, which can be a damning thing as you ultimately have to live and deal with the consequences of your decisions. I would sit down and take a careful inventory of what you want to accomplish in life, what kind of lifestyle you want for you and your family, and other such goals and aspirations and then see which field would position you the best to accomplish these aims.

Dinesh--- medicine. Here's why: A teacher told you to, all your friends told you to, strangers told you to, and you like to be told what to do!Which will give you a leg-up on your career as a medical doctor, because insurance companies tell doctors what to do and more importantly what they cannot do. Plus most insurance companies are run by people with no medical degrees, which is similar to those influencing you now. Oh, and they also get to tell you what you're worth (which has been in a steady decline), and the real kicker is you get to think it's your decision. Don't get me wrong I appreciate my doctors; we need them, I just can't believe there are people willing to put up with that much bureacracy, they deserve better. They deserve the pay and lifestyle of a dentist.
