Does anybody here know any information about their on-line MPH program? Is it an overpriced shoddy education? Sorry, I just do not trust an on-line degree program. Any thoughts from others?

Hi! I'm also interested in the MPH online program at A.T. Still; have you heard anything yet regarding your post?

get your MPH at a brick and mortar school that is accredited.

I think the school as a whole is accredited, but the MPH program specifically is not accredited by the Council on Education in Public Health (CEPH).

Accredited MPH programs outside of schools of public health are listed here:

Accredited schools of public health are listed here:
http://www.ceph.org/i4a/pages/Index.cfm?pageid=3275

There are some good programs that aren't listed on either of these pages for various reasons (new, etc.), but accreditation implies at least a minimum educational standard. Some accredited schools do have online programs as well.

I don't think public health people are too hung up on name recognition, but I would definitely go for a place that's known. I don't think AT Still is known. I also don't think the DO affiliation helps any, as many scientifically-minded people have hangups (rightly or wrongly) about DOs and DO school (yes, I realize this is for an MPH). And I would also suggest a brick and mortar place.
