everything was mailed out august 12th for me, and most schools gave me an application complete date by august 25th. So my question is at what point should I assume schools looked at my file and put it aside? After schools look at your application do they send out rejections right away if they are not interested? or do some schools send them out like in july?

use predents.com some already sent out rejections, but most didnt. you just have to wait and see. if you dont hear back from a school by december, its probably not a good thing, but its still too early to tell. im in a similar boat as you and i only heard back from 2 schools. personally i feel august application = very late in the cycle interviews. im praying i cant get a few more pre-dec interviews to maximize my chances of getting an offer.
