ATP generation in glycolysis

On my kaplan note, it says:

each NADH generates 3 ATP except the one generated during glycolysis. NADH generated during glycolysis generate 2 ATP per glucose.

How come NADH generated during glycolysis generate 2 ATP per glucose? where did the other ATP go? thanks!

Glycolysis-derived NADH has to be transported into the mitochondria by the malate-aspartate shuttle.
The price of this transport is 1 ATP per 2 electrons (1 NADH carries 2 electrons).
