Hai ,
I would like to open this thread to have a better understanding and plan for the future .. I think this is a open question to all who have been admitted into NYU and will be graduating in 2009.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO NEXT?
#What are the exams we need to take to practice other than New york and if those will not be administered by NYU, what are we supposed to do?
# where should we take the exam ?
# what are the states that approve them?
# what are the chances of us getting a place to write the exam not being the students of the administering colleges?
# will NYU train us to take those exams even though they don't conduct them

Any info regarding this will be useful to everybody who are goin to invest a hugh sum on us . Any NYU current students and other SDM members are also welcome to dicuss and help each other.

Thanks

OK answers are very simple and probably that's the reason for no one to post!!

#NERB/WREB or both. Admistered at NYU but not by NYU.
#At NYU
# please type NERB or WREB in Google search and find out about the list of states accepting respective exam.
#If you are a student of NYU then you can take NERB & WREB. If you are in Columbia U/ SUNY Buffalo/ SUNY Stony Brook/ then you can take NERB at the respective school. Don't know about WREB.
#Yes every US dental school trains its students for Licensing Board exam.

Hope things are clarified now.

I posted this questions coz I heared that NY will stop accepting /conducting the clinical exam to practice and should do a year of residency program .

so the question is will NYU still go on conduct the NERB/WERB for the students who intend to practise in other states in 2009? and will it continue train the students as of now for those exams even if the exam was not conducted during that time?

I guess the residency program is a replacement for the clinical exam and not for graduating from NYU IN 2009?

plz clarify my doubts.
