ATTN: Do not post NBME questions or other copyrighted material on SDN

Previous sticky regarding this matter

The moderation staff has noticed an uptick in the number of people posting NBME questions, either in full or partially abbreviated. Posting copyrighted material on a public forum is not only a TOS violation, it is also a copyright violation and standardized test violation. Posting copyrighted material will result in the post being removed and a warning applied to your account. Multiple warnings will result in posting restriction or banning.

You may ask a question about a question, you may paraphrase a question, but in no way should the question you post resemble the actual question. Simply abbreviating words and taking out filler words doesn't count as paraphrasing. Please note that the companies that own the rights to these questions often come to SDN and may pursue legal action if there is copyrighted material posted here.

Additionally, asking for copyrighted or pirated materials to be sent to you via PM (i.e. audio files, pdf files of books) is also not permitted and is also a copyright violation.

I would add that the NBME has and will investigate students who post actual questions online.

At least SDN has moderators who can save you by deleting or editing your posts. Other websites may not and they can track posts back to you personally.

Be very careful about this. The last thing you need is an "irregular behavior" investigation when you were just trying to understand a question.
