I spend alot of time on the road to get to my rotation site and I was thinking of finding a good audio for step 2 so I can listen to it in my car. Is there any decent audio out there for step 2?

I was able to click on the link above and get to the FULL SET OF MCMUMBI audios until today with no problem. Now, when I click on the link it directs me to garageband website (which is now linked to Ilike). How do I find the mcmumbi audios on there?

I have tried googling 'mcmumbi podcasts' and cannot find any workable downloadable links. Can anyone explain this? Did McMumbi take his audios down?

Once upon a time, at the real garage band website, I was able to download his audio section by section. Ilike and Garageband have merged and since then, I cannot figure out how to get to his audios.

any suggestions would be helpful.

Also, I cannot seem to access them on Itunes. ??????

BUMP AGAIN. I am slightly panicked as this was my preferred method of studying for Step 2 ck (in a month) until a few days ago when MCMUMBI DESERTED ME.

aren't there files by conrad fisher as well? i remember listening to him briefly...good stuff but he can get annoying 🙄

Google around, Mcmumbi audio is out there. I was able to dl it a couple weeks ago. I dont have the site bookmarked anymore, but it was fairly easy to find.

I have googled everywhere and cannot get anything. I did receive a message from MYSPACE admin that said they were linked to Ilike. And that the interface of podcasting had changed dramatically in the last 10 years and that did not include Garageband anymore. I think McMumbi put his podcasts on Garageband, and the link in this thread went directly to garagaband until a week or so ago.

I have googled everywhere; and I cannot find them. Could you please try googling yourself and if you get anything will you please provide me with an 'active' link? I am supposed to take step 2 in a month. not happy...

I think that is some of McMumbi's later stuff. But his originals are pre 2008 (2006-2007) and include about 37,38,39 podcasts. Still looking for McMumbi's extensive list. Best way is to try to reach Garageband and get them from there; if anyone wants to try, feel free (and show us!). I am in contact with Myspaceadmin about Ilike (and their letting go of garageband stuff). Evidently something happened at Garageband; as these admins said that 'the restructuring of podcasting the last ten years" no longer involves Garageband. Garageband had all McMumbi's podcasts and was where the original link above went to before Ilike took over.

anyone who has downloaded them in the past willing to post them somewhere...please?

Maybe it is just the computer I am on, but I cannot open that dushare link.
eta; I was able to open dushare.

I have a dropbox. Anyone know how to get http://dropbox.com onto this thread. Maybe someone can just put the McMumbi mp3's into the dropbox and all of us who have a dropbox on our computer can go get the mp3's.

Someone here must have downloaded the McMumbi podcasts onto their harddrive? We would love it if you could figure out a way to get them off your harddrive into a dropbox. Thanks!

Below is the information I got via email about Garageband (where the McMumbi mp3's were until a weeks ago).

Hello,

Thanks for contacting MySpace Music.

It’s been over ten years since we started helping discover independent music on the ol’ interwebs. Things have changed a lot since then. Most of those changes have been good and some of them have been bad. Some changes are just bitter-sweet.

The landscape of how music is discovered and delivered has changed drastically over the last decade and we are proud to have been a huge part of that change - first with Garageband.com and then with iLike.com and beyond. Sadly, that landscape will not include Garageband.com anymore.

Link your account to iLike: (action required) If you want to continue to make your music available for streaming or download on iLike.com and the iLike application on Facebook, please go to iLike.com and login with your Garageband username and password by July 15th, 2010. This will automatically link your account to iLike so we can port your music, profile photo, and biography to iLike.com.

If you have recently made a purchase on Garageband.com and would like a refund, please email [email protected] to request a refund. Valid refund requests must be received no later than August 31st, 2010. Valid refund requests include Gold Memberships purchased after 6/1/2009, and Song/Gig purchased made after 5/1/2010.

Sincerely,
MySpace Music Support

Can anyone figure out how to get 'dropbox' downloaded to include in a message like this. so that the files can be put in there? or better yet...spartann83, can you download dropbox from the link above and place the mp3 files in it? That way anyone else with a dropbox on their computer (like me) can transfer between computers ( your dropbbox to my dropbox?).

Yes the files do work. You have to click on the link at top (colored) and wait XXX number of seconds that is says. Then at the bottom where it says "click here or upgrade'; click the click here and the file comes up to save or open on the computer.

Thanks Spartann83!

The files take forever to download. I can only do one at a time, because I am not a premium member of File factory. Again, I think using DROPBOX would be a better idea.
