So I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel here, and I have 4 1/2 months until I graduate. And of course being the planner that I am, I've already started to look for jobs. However, the problem I'm running into is I'm not finding very many jobs. Where the heck are all the jobs they were telling us about in school? I live in the state of GA and am not interested in moving too far away again(went to school in AZ). I've been checking out websites like audiology online, ASHA, Indeed, Monster, my school's forum, and Career builder. Have I missed any avenues? I have a sneaking suspision that the audiology jobs are primarily known by word of mouth around here. I know there is definitely a demand being there are NO Au.D programs in SC or GA and the audiology community is VERY small. Any suggestions?

Have you checked out audigy. It would not be my first choice for a job, but sometimes they know of private practices that are looking for audiologists.

Also, have you checked with the ENTs and hospitals in the area? Many times hospitals have their own websites for jobs so maybe check those out.

Hello, I work in the Membership Deparment of the American Academy of Audiology and would recommend checking out our job board, www.hearcareers.org. We have over 100 jobs in audiology and you can post your resume for free. Contact us at [email protected] if you have any questions! Good luck in your job hunt!

Get to know your hearing aid reps. They often know about jobs before they are posted and they know everyone in your state usually. They are also amazing people always willing to pass your resume on to others.

Good luck!

Erased my original comment. I asked a question and got the answer I was looking for through online research.

My apologies.

Good luck on your job search! Please keep us updated!...I'm sure I'm not the only one curious about what to expect when entering the career field after graduation.
