to thatgirl413,
I'm sorry to hear about that. It's always tough coming right out of the exam b/c you tend to think the absolute worst about your performance. I thought the exact same way when I came out of my Aug 7 exam. Hopefully with time, you'll gain some more confidence in how you did. Of course, there's nothing you can do about it now, so the best advice is to do anything and everything to take your mind off it. The next month will be a drag, but you can surely get through it.
I understand your feeling of studying the entire summer. I spent about 3 months doing hardcore studying about 8 hours a day...only to get slapped in the face with the real thing. But the great thing about this test is....you can take it again. I know it doesn't sound appetizing, but you do get another chance if you need it. These tests ARE harder than the aamc ones you've taken, but if you went into the test feeling confident and performed on the same level you did on the practice exams, then don't stress too terribly much. Everything will take care of itself in the end, and if you have the heart and determination to become a doctor, then I think you'll find a way to get it done.
Keep your head up!
