Hey all,

Just got my PCAT scores not happy with bio at all and i thought it was the easiest!?!?! Don't know what happen?

Verbal Ability 66
Biology 45
Reading Comprehension 83
Quant Ability 81
Chemestry 83
Composite 77

So now that I know how I did, i want to retake it but i am just looking for people who have experience as to whether retake it in august or october? I've had people tell me when youre back in the school mind frame they have done better, but also im thinking i still have a little under a month to cram again while the info is still semi/not really still in my head? Advice?!?!

My GPA is 3.42

My classes that would apply to the exam that I am taking next semester are Orgo 2 and Anatomy

I plan on applying to Midwestern- Chicago and University of Iowa where I am currently at. Almost 2 years volunteer work, and currently working at the University of Iowa Hospital's Ambulatory Care Pharmacy

if you have a 3.6gpa you don't really need to retake it, that is solid with a decent GPA

My GPA is 3.42 right now!?!?

i think you have a shot nothing special though but i dont know any scores up there since i'm living southeast. If you do well this year and by fall get straight As and pull it to say 3.5 you'll have a solid shot i say.

3.42 - 3.5 --- What's the difference? PCAT is good and volunteer time is GREAT! I think that the time commited to volunteering IS SOMETHING SPECIAL in itself (getting out of the library once in a while is a good thing -social communication and COMPASSION are important traits for a competent pharmacist.)
I'd continue to do well in classes, but continue to take the time to volunteer as it will definitely enhance your application more than 1/2 point added to your GPA would.
Well-roundedness beats out slightly higher GPA!

I guess going on 4 mission trips to Mexico might help me out a bit, huh? I totally forgot about that! That's encouragement!
