Wow. The ban stick is coming out with a vengeance.
I've seen students with MCAT in the low 20s become the stars of their medical class.So, what happens when it comes to taking the boards? Are these individuals granted leniency in obtaining residency spots?
UNM BA/MD program requires you to have a 22/3.0 at the end of the BA.
One kid scored a 21. They let him stay in anyway. A 21.
21.
<facepalm>
EDIT: USMLE=the great equalizer?
It's funny, because at some schools (vaguely remember it being FIU but I could be mistaken), the special treatment doesn't stop with admissions. Someone made a thread recently about how "the disadvantaged students" are given access to previous years tests that no one else is given, because they were struggling on tests in previous years.
But I think you are right about the USMLE being the equalizer.
UTMB has MSEMP
