Which allopathic medical schools in the U.S. absolutely will not accept out of state applicants? I just want to know because the only IN-STATE school I have to apply to after college is the University of Washington...
So when I apply to some schools out of state, which ones should I absolutely avoid?

I'm pretty sure UMass accepts virtually no OOS

Yeah, UMass will only accept OOS applications for MD/PhD and even then they only took 3 for 2008-2009.

Also, all this info can be looked up in the MSAR.

Medical University of South Carolina- only a very select few OOS

I got an Email automatic rejection from them right away unless I can prove that I have family in West Virginia or that I live in the surrounding states.

Florida State University takes very few OOS, like 2 or 3 per class of 120 and most are from Georgia.

LSU-Shreveport takes ZERO OOS students. LSU-New Orleans considers OOS only if their parents went to LSU-NO medical school.

University of Mississippi Medical Center takes none or close to that with regard to OOS students.

Southern Illinois. I don't think they even like people from northern Illinois.

Most of the CALI schools seem to be close to an automatic rejection.

At least UWashington is pretty sweet. I have UNSOM. It seems like an alright school, but it also seems like nobody has even really heard of it.

Arizona for the most part is closed to OOS I believe...

Nevada, unless you're from Nevada or Alaska and maybe 1 more state. Or you have strong ties.

From personal experience, it seems University of Nebraska College of Medicine rarely accepts OOS

Also Indiana, I'm pretty sure. Unless you have some kind of connection to the state.
