Avg Salary - Breast Surgeon, fellowship trained vs non

I work for an HR company and I am looking for any resources you all might have for average salary information by state/regions for a Breast Surgeon, fellowship trained vs non fellowship trained. Any resources you might have would be most helpful.

Contact the American Society of Breast Surgeons as they've just finalized the data analysis for their survey. I have the results but they are embargoed; I don't know the release date or whether they'll be made publicly available but it's worth asking.

AMGA and MGMA will have some of these stats in their annual salary surveys. You can order the report directly from them. For academic salaries, the AAMC also has data although I don't know if they have breast surgeons broken out separately, which I know AMGA does. The ASBS just finished their 1st salary survey but final analysis is still being done, a preliminary report was given at the meeting. Eventually this may be available, but they are still deciding in what format it will be released and to what distribution. If you need a specific number for a specific purpose PM me and perhaps I can help you out.

I cannot at this point because I haven't had time to read all the details. Perhaps @surg can (sorry I didn't get to stay and chat at dinner). I'm told they controlled for hours worked etc but its obviously concerning.

I know that when I was interviewing during fellowship, it was not unusual to be offered less than some of the men interviewing for the same job ( we would compare notes ); then again, I was offered more than some of the women. Its likely there is some institutional bias for employed physicians (which made up the majority of the respondents) as well as the stereotypical tendency for women not to ask for/negotiate for things. Are the men making more because they ask for more?

The revelation was met with quite a bit of kerfuffle in the audience to say the least.
