So how many units of fixed do most kids you talk to cement before they graduate?

I go to buffalo and most people try to cement 12 (crowns+1 bridge)...

At NYU we have to do 9 + at least one bridge. So far I think I've done 10 PFMs, 4 implant crowns... and still on the lookout for my bridge patient :|

USC is 20 units of fixed and that has to include on FPD and it is a non-implant FPd

We do 24 minimum units, I would say average is about 30.

does your school give you these patients ready to go or do you have to treatment plan them yourselves, hoping to one day get to their fixed restorative needs after the prophy, operative, endo, post and cores etc?

If it is like my school, you treatment plan them yourself, or they are transferred from graduating seniors.

We have our own patients. Meaning we starting with an OD exam and make our own treatment plan with the instructors. Then we do comprehensive care for all of their needs. We do our own perio, endo, OS, etc. Everyone easily reaches 24 units, Some people can graduate with 40+ if they want to ask a fellow classmate for their extra work.
