This is why we go to school... sometimes I forget. Watching this stuff gets me motivated to study when I feel like reruns of Sports Center are more interesting than finals.

It is a neat video for sure. Well shot, and technique is there.

This is something you will do a lot of in your career. One thing to realize, especially with bunion procedure is, one day you will take a little technique from each of your attendings, and make the procedure your own. If you do the same bunion osteotomies and incisions...etc, the technique will have very slight variations that will make it yours. Enjoy the video, it will likely open many's eyes as to what being in the OR is like.

Check out the padeheer channel on youtube. When I got interested in the profession I started watching his videos of surgeries and other procedures for specific pathologies. Then, awesomely he happened to practice in my area so I was able to shadow him. He has over 50 videos I believe, some of them with voiceovers explaining the procedure step by step.

Patrick is a dear friend. Excellent surgeon, very intelligent and all around super nice guy. His youtube vids are VERY good.

Kidsfeet, I totally agree. I love that good podiatrists share what they do... thats how I became sold on it.
