I can't access the matriculation agreement at the moment though, but it all shows up on my student checklist.

Can anyone else confirm that this indeed means we are in (ie if other peoples' checklists who have already interviewed do not have access to the Post-Accepted: Student Checklist box on their student log-in?)

Well, I can't officially confirm it, but from last years thread and what they told us on interview day, it does mean you are accepted. They said the first place you would know would be by checking your portal the the checklist.

Yep, the checklist will show up. I feel like if people really were getting accepted before today though that this may be a rolling thing since I guess the consensus was they weren't meeting until the end of the week or something.... I don't get it lol

If it makes you feel any better, I read in last years thread that someone didn't get a checklist, but when they called they were told they were accepted.

Don't give up hope yet. It seems like they had to go through a lot of interviewees today if they were reviewing everyone who interviewed so far. It could be they just didn't get to everyone yet.

Congrats fellow acceptees! My portal said the same thing... It showed up a week ago saying i needed to make a deposit of $0. It changed though a few days later. You can all be confident that you were truly accepted! good times!!! Any other fellow in-staters?

Getting past my doubts now, my delayed excitement is making it hard for me to study now 😀. Now I can relax for my other interviews knowing I have something to fall back to, will be canceling all my OOS interviews tomorrow.

Just ask for your opinion, which school is better in term of Clinical rotation and specialist?

Too subjective to give anything other than a truly uninformed, biased opinion. The key is to just figure out what YOU think will work best for YOU.

That being said, typically state-schools have better setups, but they're both good schools (and if you're oos for Michigan, this is one of the rare instances in which AZCOM would be the cheaper option, which is something to consider) and aren't lacking in graduates who are now specialists.

You won't receive a call. I believe you may have to call them. I plan on calling tomorrow morning.

Congrats to everyone BTW, I hope to see you all on campus next year. Barring something extreme (good MD acceptance, Western acceptance) I'll likely be attending next year.

I'm so happy right now... so much for me sleeping before my last day of orientation at the hospital hahaha

....now can someone explain to me the importance of the rotations? I'd like to be near Sacremento because my grandma is up there and she's getting old. But I don't want to go somewhere that will lower my chances of a good residency. I do want to end up in the North/North West at the end of the day. Any opinions?

So Dan, what you're saying is if we call we may get a say in what rotation site we get, but if we don't call they will just assign us one? Personally I'm not a huge fan of the whole idea since right now I can't possibly know where I'd wanna be in two (more like three) years, but whatever lol

No not really, she was trying to be nice to me. She said the committee WILL NOT take a look at your file again until after all other files have been reviewed. That's a really slim chance if you ask me. :cry::cry:

For those accepted, I called admissions and asked about picking our rotation sites... The lady told me that we should all be getting an email in the next few days from the dean about it. The email will tell us how to request our rotation site! So if you call, they can't do anything but tell you if you are in fact accepted.

For those that are waitlisted, don't let this get you down! This is still really early in the cycle, and many of us that are accepted may end up somewhere else, so you will still get a chance at getting off of the waitlist! Just keep going to interviews and know that it will all work out for the best in the end. 🙂 Good luck!

The general consensus is that if you don't do anything about it (such as update them with grades, new MCAT, publications, etc) they aren't good, but if you do something about it your chances are somewhat improved.

Its actually fairly similar to last year. Last year people that interviewed at the end of September found out on October 1st. They review in groups so batches will hear quickly and some people are going to be waiting until the next review.

That is rough and definitely a hard situation. Girlfriend is nothing in the eyes of schools, if it was a wife a letter stating intent that you would both like to attend would go a very long way. A girlfriend isn't viewed that way though. Regardless, if you both want to attend, have her send a letter of intent and hope for the best. Also continue to update with new things that she has going on.

wish i coulda kept my sept interview cuz it would be really nice to know this early as well. but my wallets been drained. wonder how many people were accepted already and how many spots are left
