Baby during prelim/TY

I wanted to know if any women have had a baby during their prelim/TY and how it affects your advanced position. Some threads on sdn talk about it during intern year but all of them are categorical and they mention lengthening their residency. I imagine that is not possible for prelim going into an advanced position. Has anyone done it/know what people do?

Just for the record, having a baby does not necessarily lengthen your residency. It will if you choose to take a full six weeks to stay home, but you can take up to four weeks without lengthening your residency. It also depends on how supportive the PD is.
