I was wondering how many in your school or class entered dental school without a bachelor's degree?

There are quite a few in my class, including myself. The main reason is b/c I'm in the inagural class and it was a little easier to get in back then. Even now, from what I hear, it is a lot harder to get in here. Look at the dental "Bible" and it will give you the number of people accepted without a degree. I did get accepted to one other school without having my BS so it is possible just harder, you just might not be able to be as selective about where you go. For me it was start when I did or wait a year and go to some well-established high-falutin school. I decided that given what I wanted to do I would cut out a year where I could, so I started early.

Our class, also an inaugural class, had ~5 out of 54 that didn't hold degrees.

I don't think that trend will continue here any more, but who knows. I would think that just the sheer number of people applying is greater, and the majority of those hold degrees, so from a calculated standpoing the odds of getting in without a degree would go down a bit.

Hi,
I'm going to be a D1 at Umaryland this August and I don't have a degree. They didn't make any fuss at all and my stats were about average.
