I know Dy has been around MU a lot more since then so dunno how much things will have changed for this one, but may be worth perusing for some feel of "basics" roles we could see. I remember people being somewhat shocked by the strongman role last time.

If it's based off of mafia more then werewolf, there are some different roles that would be present. I can go on IRC later and try and see if mafbot is still active, and figure out what the roles/player distribution came out as
I hope our noobs learn a lot from this game! These basic games are my favorite. Crazy abilities and mechanisms can be fun, but I really enjoy the problem solving aspect of the basic games.
It's good to go back every once in a while 🙂. I know the old game definitely helped improve my post-analyzing skills, and I'm looking forward to the workout with this one.

I'm going to skim through the last basics game so I am a little more familiar with what to expect, though
Last one was 28 players, five wolves (no converts).
Wolf seer, blocker, strongman and two vanilla wolves.
Village had a tracker, bodyguard, two masons, a seer and vigilante, then all others vanilla I think (may be missing one, I'm looking at the last roster I can find).

What are masons? And is the vigilante the same thing as a village assassin?

Masons traditionally don't die with one another, though, that's more typically a lover thing. SDN WW tends to have kind of varied/modified versions of traditional roles.

So interesting having such basic roles. Kind of love it. I loved playing the flash version of mafia online except that people were so terrible at playing it hahaha
Oh ... so that's "what" occurred with the conjoined twins in the WW Circus thread.
I did not understand "how" a conjoined twin could remain alive if the other conjoined twin was hemorrhaging to death.
Now, I get it: they were "masons."
