Hey everyone. After a painstaking process of convincing Certiphi that the moving violations I reported are just that and not offenses I went to court for and convicted of, I finally got the background check completed. Everything came back clean, as I expected haha. However, there is an accident on there that I was charged for back home back in 2007. Apparently in my home town county in Ohio this accident charge "Assured clear distance ahead" (I rear ended another car) is a misdemeanor and was listed as such on the report.

Will this affect anything for matriculating this year? To clarify, this was just an accident/moving violation, not a criminal offense. I reported this on my AMCAS also so it's not like it's going to be a surprise to my school either! Just worried that they might not realize that this is just a moving violation and not a major criminal offense since it's listed as a misdemeanor. Thanks for the help everyone!

Just know that Cincinnati asks you about traffic violations but you should be fine.

Oh I didn't report those, that would've made me seem like the worst driver ever haha. Only was worried about this because for it showed up and it's listed as a misdemeanor!

There is usually a place to further clarify the legal infraction. Simply stating that certain traffic violations are considered misdemeanors in Ohio should suffice to prevent someone from assuming the worst.
