Does having been terminated from a seasonal job you did for a week during high school or college and where it wasn't your fault at all deter your chances of getting a job after your medical residency?

yes. dont bother applying to med school anymore

So your saying that hospitals rather place more importance on a seasonal job, which lasted a couple days and which was 9 or 10 years ago to your grueling years during residency? Don't really see the logic.

So would it even be appropriate to list any of those high school and college jobs which arn't even related to the medical field including the terminated job on your medical resume?
If you are talking an actual resume:
No, they aren't related. It would be like saying you had a lemonade stand outside your house when you were 8. Nobody cares...
If you are talking AMCAS & secondary applications:
Use your best judgment.

Right, but can't they still do a background check and still verify all of your employment even if it's 10 years old and not related? Won't it appear on your background check where you worked and then can't they call those old employers to see if you were fired?

It is a criminal background check that a school would do, not a complete life-story background.

I like to think that OP is just a neurotic junior.

No, that's not true. Listen, I just seem to be paranoid about all this. It's already very frustrating especially when your not getting clear and through explanations.

The questions are:

Will hospitals check up on my employment back in high school and college even though it won't be listed in my medical resume?

Is it even possible to check up on employment that isn't listed in your medical resume?

How will they view a termination if they did check up on it?
