Backup Plans?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
My backup plan is to get a PhD and get a job as a researcher/professor so I really wouldn't do much differently from my current major. However, this isn't a "backup" plan per se since it's more likely that I would simply switch to this path outright and not even apply to medical school.

i've posted this in other threads, but it still works

the whole thing is great imo, but check out 5:03 specifically about a Plan B

I plan on majoring in Environmental Eng so that if medical school dosent work out, I will have a pritty good career as a backup plan.

I want to work in health no matter what. PA, medical social worker, medical technologist, physical therapist...I think I could be happy in any of those jobs. I'm shooting for a degree in CLS right now (medical technologist) and I think that's a pretty good backup bachelor's degree, but I still want a master's degree in something if not medical school.

If I decide to bail on medicine I would become a teacher. I figure a MD would be enough to qualify for a high school teaching position...

not quite
