In FA it says that baclofen "inhibits GABA-B receptors" (pg 499) but everywhere else says that baclofen is a GABA-B agonist? What is going on here?

Thanks

It is an agonist, but it can act at pre synaptic GABA-B receptors thus inhibiting that neuron. So perhaps what was meant is that it can inhibit the pre synaptic neurons? Anyway, the full mechanism from what I've seen is not fully known so maybe there is some indecision on it. For what it's worth the 2016 FA says "activates GABA-B receptors at spinal cord level, inducing skeletal muscle relaxation"

FA 2016 corrected it
