just got my scores
although got 325/400 correct but a composite of 86
my bad luck guys
any advise ??

hi porcelain...sorry to hear about ur score....but dont worry, i think theres a lot of ppl w/ low scores...i got a 83 if it makes u feel better =(

guys its really surprising that u got 83 n 86. u were the ones who helped others with their doubts..
oh boy i guess i should postpone my date n really work hard...

I am waiting for my result and hopefully will get on tomorrow or day after tomorrow and now I am really scared from result coz I am already a retaker with previous score 83. I m very much confused about scoring curve coz it is getting harder day by day. Anyway still hopping for best. When did u take ur exam? Good luck for ur admission process.

I took my exam on 23rd july and was expecting a good score but this has really shattered me off....

hey guys..sorry to hear that.. both of u were a great help to many of us in our first steps.. im sure the score doesnt reflect ur knowledge nor the effort u put into this test.
im sure next trial it will be better when u know to what u r facing to..

maybe it will sound inapropiate,,but now that u r past it..what would u do different in the preparation? change source of studing (like books?)
more (or less..) practing q's
or smth in the exam day itself?

wish u all the best and dont give up! im sure it was a pure bad luck! my grandma says its better to have 1 gram of luck than 1 kilogram of brain 🙂

dont loose hopes , my friend got admission with 85 in newyork college last year, now with 86 u have still got chances i think, and my seniors told me that 85 and above is fine now a days.

but u helped me a lot with lot of answers thanku very much.

hey congrats!! gud score.. ull surely get admsn with these scores.
well u knw... i was just surveying the scores of this years.. i found out that.. appx 10-12 out of 30 ppl got 83%, 5-7 got 85%, 3-4 got 86%, rest all are 2-3 from 87%-91%.so i think this years avg is 83%.. i hope we will get admsn with 83% too.

it's not possible in new pattern as the q r all haphazardly arranged from all sections as u know
I studied for around 5-6 mths in total n followed basically kaplan review n lecture notes plus mosby review for anatomy n few topics here n there
rest was dental decks,papers n ofcourse wiki for many topics

I'll apply in all good schools basically most of them in CA n also NY,PENN,BU to count a few.....but now thinking of applying to CA schools initially as deadlines r close

I got 83 and I will begine studing fo the test one more time the only concern i have are the oclusion and ethics what are the refrences for these two, i had lots of question in my test, I hope someone know the answer?

I read occlusion from kaplan material and decks .....i think it shd suffice n if u have difficulty in TMJ then combine the above with some other source too .....I read from mosby's review as well n it was good enough
for ethics ,decks r sufficient

Hi, do not loose heart, i think its a good score and most important is you know your subject ( seen ur posts) and i guess dat is what matters. Heard and seen people with lesser scores getting admission in good schools. So good luck for your admissions and keep smiling
