Please don't twist my posts into something I didn't say just to appease your narrow-minded and childlike viewpoints. I never said that he's never had a serious relationship. Where did you get that from???? All I said was that he wasn't married. I never even said if he'd been married in the past. The fact that you took that and ran with it to label someone as mentally ill tells me that you're much too young and sheltered to participate in these types of conversations in any meaningful way.

So...has he been married?

If you want serious "mature" advice, warn him. But why would you ever think that you could have a relationship with your preceptor, or anyone in a supervisory role to you for that matter. That's just crazy and asking for trouble. I'd leave him alone after warning him because he obviously wants nothing to do with you.

Also your "friend" obviously doesn't think of you the same way. I'd be polite to her as an acquaintance so she doesn't screw you over, but I'd never speak to her on a personal level again.
