Bad NBME form 4 score-test in 6 days!

-Test in 6 days. What do I do here?


Also, does the scoring for form 4 seem weird to anyone else? Since when is a 78% correct barely passing?

That is how scoring for all the forms are. In order to get a good score on those NBMEs you have to get around 90% correct. Although I have no taken the real thing, everyone states that there is no way they knew 90% of the questions but still got a great score. I am just using them as a learning tool as should you.

Scoring for 4 is pretty accurate (or at least in the past). The questions are much easier, so you need to miss much fewer questions than say UWSA.

Your choices should be
1: Take another practice test to see how predictive your NBME 4 was

2: Delay Step 2 or trust you can pull it off on test day for the pass. Remember the new cutoff is 209 for a passing score.

Close to test day myself- had a terrible NBME form 6 about a week and a half ago, then had an improved UWSA a week ago (>40 point difference). Averaging low to mid 70's on UWorld (dragged down by some lower earlier practice blocks I did before I completed all of this past year's rotations). Feeling meh to okay at the moment- mainly getting caught up on questions that I'm 50:50 on or reading too deeply into.

Debating whether or not to do NBME 4 or to finish up UWorld and re-do select sections- don't want to kill a semi-positive mood going into test day if NBME 4 tanks :/

Hey, I am in the same situation as you were last year!! I have my exam on July 10th. I got a 214 on NMBE 4. I do not know what to do!! Please let me know what you did and if you did go ahead and take it and pass!!. Thank you!!
