Can you bail on an OMFS non categorical internship acceptance if you post match? Any insight will be appreciated!

If you accepted an internship that is starting this upcoming July and also post-matched, then yes, you can decline the internship so that it is made available for others.

However, if you are currently in an internship and post-matched, then you will likely need to complete the internship. The program that you post-matched to can reject you if they learned that you bailed on an active internship.

So, what you're saying is if I accept an internship position now that starts in July but end up post matching, like in the next 2 weeks, I can take the postmatch position?
What happens to the contract you sign for the internship? Will they willingly release you from your contract? Like it's not technically 'bound'?

The goal of the internship is to land a residency. I'm 100% sure that nobody will fault you for taking the post match spot at UW.

Even if the contract was legally binding, who cares? Follow your dreams! Just kidding. If you tell the PD your situation I'm sure he or she will let you go.
