Is this a good mcat review book?

Honestly, it's not. IMO, it's actually pretty bad.

Here are the best materials (if you're taking the 2015 version this might change):

2. The Berkeley Review (if you want better than a 33 and don't mind difficult work): http://www.amazon.com/Berkeley-Revi...401821637&sr=8-2&keywords=the+berkeley+review

3. The Princeton Review Verbal Reasoning Workbook: http://www.amazon.com/Princeton-Rev...inceton+review+mcat+verbal+reasoning+workbook (Examkrackers 101 Passages in Verbal Reasoning, Gold Standard's verbal reasoning, and Kaplan verbal reasoning are also okay)

4. AAMC's practice material (in short supply so use sparingly)

FYI - Study groups are known for sharing material if you join the right one.
