I bought Barron's MCAT (2009 12th edition) used because I wanted extra practice FL's. Has anyone taken the FL's and what did you think of them. Thanks!

Since I've been on this board, I've never seen anyone that liked Barron's MCAT material.

soooo ya lol i'm definitely responding to this thread way late, but after studying for a week & a half w/ kaplan material I took a FL barron's mcat test. (The exact same edition as you.)

I "got" a 31 -_____-

I know for a fact I am not that amazingly gifted to score a 31 on a FL exam a week and a half into my studies. Long story short it's horsecr*p.

To anyone else: AVOID BARRONS!

Barrons MCAT is a grossly indifferent product. Do not use. It combines the absence of important material with the inclusion of irrelevant material and completely misdirected practice items.

I've just started reviewing for the MCAT, and whereas three years ago I was scoring 10's and 11's on verbal sections from EK101, I recently scored a 14 on a verbal section from Barron's MCAT [2008]. I hope this is an indication that my reading comprehension has improved and not that the book I'm using is not representative of actual MCAT material... must be the latter =/
