You think this book is enough prep for the MCAT if I thorougly use it, or would you recommend much more prep.

You should go through this link. Apparently, Barron's is one of the worst prep books out there. With that much negative publicity and no positive, you should really invest in another program. I like EK and the Gold Standard Videos, but that's just my opinion. 🙂

I got that Barrons book, and it is so small. There is not a lot of material in it. I kept it, but I also got the McGraw-Hill book with MCAT practice on CD and I got the new full EK package. If I could go back and rebuy my books I would have just stuck with the EK package.

okay, barrons is way too small and incomplete to prepare you for the mcat.

***but*** Barron's has a LOT of detail in the BS section that the other books don't have.
that said, there is only 5 or 6 pages on OCHEM! and the stuff on physics and chemistry is also insufficient.
ALSO, the VR problems in Barron's are VERY easy and I got every question right in more than half of the passages.

so, if you want to use Barron's for Biological Sciences, fine, but the preparation for PS, VR, and OCHEM is incomplete.

i think ill just glance thru it
probly shouldnt have bought it , but its cool - ill buy another one in a little while
and maybe ill take kaplan or some other course

oh wow do not use that book exclusively. try to get kaplan at least

Dont do Kaplan! I have all of the kaplan books from when I took the class, and it was just way too much information and way too boring. Seriously consider spending a little more and getting Exam Krackers. Some people do well with Kaplan though, but many of my friends didnt do so well with it, and I really did badly with it. Just my opinion though.
