So I just heard from Barry this morning and now I get to schedule an interview! Has anyone here decided that they want to go to Barry? And I w as also wondering how the interview works there and where do you stay? So many questions! 🙂

Hey asocc4, I see that you are from the U of M., are you applying Des Moines? I go to SDSU in Brookings, SD which isn't too far away and have applied to there and scholl. It's cool just to see where pre-pods in the area are applying.

barry just fell of my radar screen. it was a fun place to see and mark is totally cool. they are moving into a new building next year, so that will be cool. you go on a tour, eat unch, interview, and go home. i think that ft. lauderdale is actually closer than MIA, but you might as well have some fun a stay downtown!!! they offered a generous scholarship, but due to the high cost of living in miami (not to mention natural disaster potential) and admissions to stronger programs, i decided to pass on barry.

So the Barry podiatry school will be in the new building next year? Sounds cool! How did the rest of campus and the former podiatry buildings look? Did the cirriculum and class schedule sound good at Barry? I heard the labs and such were kind of archaic but I 'm sure everything will be beautiful next year. OCPM will be in a new facility summer 07 as well. Looks like a step in the right direction.

Yeppers I sure am. I love the University of Minnesota! I've had the best time here, well except for the freezing winters Hahaha! I'm from Wisconsin though so it wasn't a change in climate luckily.

at first glance, they are not bad. the buildings look old, and probably are. i wouldn't however base any decisions on that, assuming they do get thier new building(s). don't get me wrong at all, i think it would be a good place to go if it fits your needs.

One more question 😉
I was wondering how long it takes to find out if you are accepted into a pod school after the interview (ie. Barry)? And will they tell you without your MCAT scores if you haven't taken them yet?

I'll be interviewing at Barry Nov. 3rd. I'm going to make it a mini vacation. Should be interesting.
