Sooo- there is a Masters of Biomedical sciences at Barry University- tailored supposedly to help students that didn't get in for GPA or such to get into medical school. I visited it. Let me say its a pretty small school- almost a community college size, but then again I came from U of Michigan. Its in a nice community in Miami Shores- lots of palm trees, but I didn't see any beaches- that could be a good thing.
The Dean seemed really knowlegable but hard. I get a feeling that the school cater towards DO schools. It has no official ties to Allopathic, but strong connections in the carribean(*) and DO schools in Florida such as Nova Southeastern. I know someone working at the NIH who did the 2 year Masters, but didn't get into medical school and is now a research tech at the NIH. Anyone have any info on this program to share with the 'postbac community'?
