Base realignment

Hi guys,
I just glanced at a report for base realignment that was released around 2005 affecting all the branches. What effect will this have in the base postings in each of the branches?

Also what is going on with Walter Reed Hospital and Bestheda down in in the DC area? Are they really going to make it multiservice and consolidate it into one big medical facility at Bestheda?

That will have affect on slots available at some posts but it's really impossible to predict how and when it will affect them. Those decisions are made far higher up than CPT's ever here about.
