Basic GPA question

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Everything else being the same, and assuming 180 total units (quarter system), I am guessing (like really guessing) thats a difference of at least 5-10 courses of getting all A's (3.6) versus getting A's and B's (3.5). Then, I would assume admissions then goes and looks at prereq courses and determines who got better grades in those.

Really though it's dependent upon likely if it's for a pre-req since many schools care more about what you did in Physics than in an Art credit. Look at the schools and see what exactly they want. I sit at a 3.6 for cgpa and pre-req GPA and it places me in waitlist city. If anything, try emailing your selected schools and ask this question to their admissions
