It seems like there are great comprehensive sources for Step 1 (i.e.: First Aid), great sources of questions and exams (qbank, USMLE World, NBME), great sources of review for organ systems and path (Rapid Review, etc.) but it seems like Basic Sciences is a collection of only halfway useful books and nothing to act as a comprehensive high-yield resource except the new First Aid Basic Sciences, and that's unproven.

I hate the idea of buying 5 different books to act as references for basic sciences. Seems to me that would make any study strategy inefficient and low yield in a hurry.

My goal has been to memorize FA frontwards and backwards, complete QBook, FA Q&A, work through as much of USMLEW as I can, and use Goljan RR for organ systems/path. I feel okay about the rest of my plan, but I am CLUELESS on how to prep for basic sciences. I can't rely on First Aid and questions alone on basic sciences... or can I? Truly I don't even know how much basic science is on the exam. Any help from someone who's been down this road?
