Awesome! Did you email or call her and find that out?
I sent her an email this morning. She replied saying she called me Wednesday . But I changed numbers and even though I told her she must have called my old number. She said I wouldn't get my email till Tuesday . I wouldn't worry.

Congrats! Do you mind sharing your stats?

:scared:Just got an email that I was wait listed
Yes, stay positive girl! It's not a rejection AND I bet there are many people who are on the fence or will choose a different school. Even one of the commenters on this thread that got an acceptance said they're unsure if they'll accept. And that's just one out of a handful of us on this thread!

Stay positive! I was accepted but I declined since I will attend a program closer to where I live. I hope that helps knowing at least one spot is open! Good luck!

Does anyone know anything about the longmeadow/university area? I've searched on google and it says that Boston is about an hour and a half away from longmeadow so I guess that drive isn't that bad to do something social. On the other hand though, I am thinking that because it is an suburban(perhaps rural?) area it may actually be beneficial to students because it will force them to study/be productive lol. As of now, I'm 90 percent leaning towards attending baypath because it is the only school that has accepted me so far. However, I will go part time just to feel the program out first.

I mean I'm living in Amherst right now and it's RURAL. Like passing farms while driving rural. Plus I've never had luck with I-90. You're more like to get to Boston in 2-2.5 hours. Longmeadow Is gorgeous but it's definitely out of the way. I was born, raised and did undergrad in Philly so this is a real departure from city entertainment, food, activities and lifestyle...tbh Longmeadow is closer to Hartford than Boston...

Yeah I second everything @JayEmBee1301002 said. I live in Boston and occasionally I would visit a close friend of mine who lives in Amherst. It took me about 2.5 hours to get there, especially since I would stop and take a break halfway. I know other people who could get there in 1.5 hours but they're fast drivers/drove it straight.

I remember visiting Bay Path and the person I met with straight up told me that even though Longmeadow is nice, it is very surbuban. Springfield is the closest city, but it isn't the safest or nicest. About 30 minutes (I think) away is Northampton, which is a more hip and young town since Smith College resides there. My friend recently moved to that city and really does enjoy it there - it's busy enough for students to enjoy themselves even if it isn't as hectic as Boston.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I got my acceptance email today, and will be declining the offer to go to Towson. I hope this helps someone on the waitlist!

Also, I wanted to say thanks to everyone on here. Having such a positive and supportive group of people going through the same craziness has really helped throughout the process. We're gonna rock this!!

anyone else not hear back yet? 🙁
She said the same to me @eveot ! I was hoping she would reply to my email with "I was just about to call you...you're accepted!". Instead I got "we have experienced an unexpected delay. Thanks for your patience". I guess it means another few days (or more) of incessently checking my email.

I got my acceptance email on Monday
I am SOOO EXCITED!!!!!! I can't wait to meet everyone and actually see the campus in person. I live in South Jersey so this is going to be a complete move for me. Oh my gosh I have so much to do in a short period of time ie. Find housing, secure financial aid etc.... it's ALL good though....Welcoming this next chapter of life. Onward and upward
see you guys in July, can't wait!!

Is anyone going to attend the program part time?
I was thinking about it but decided to enroll full time. The cost is the same.

I plan on moving a week before classes start, july 17th ish. My goal is to look for a roommate/studio for a place close to the campus sometime in June. What about yourself?

Same here. I've seen some nice places listed online right over the ct border, which is fairly close to the longmeadow campus

Hey guys, I know this is a long shot but anyone from the Worcester, MA or even Putnam, CT area that will be commuting? I'm trying to find one or two people close to me to maybe carpool!

I was planning on taking a trip down there to visit, but I emailed lynn george and she said there would be an upcoming accepted student event on may 30th to meet the faculty, take a tour, and talk to current students. Also she said that the deposit can be paid online. Did anyone put in a deposit yet? How do we pay online? I thought we had to mail everything in.

I am still waiting. I emailed Lynn monday morning and haven't heard back. At this point i'm not thinking it's going to be a positive answer.I would just like to know so I can plan my next steps.

I'd call her tomorrow. Last year she misspelled my email address

I actually called her yesterday and her phone went to voicemail so I left a message. I haven't heard back from her so I am assuming she is getting a lot of phone calls and is busy. I have been in email contact with her throughout the application process. Thanks for the advice. I am just hoping for some sort of decision soon. 🙂

Lynn emailed me back today saying everyone will hear back by today

I called her last Friday and spoke with her. She let me know over the phone that I was rejected. I would keep calling and/or leave a voicemail

I just wanted to say congratulations to everyone who was accepted! I sadly was not offered a spot this year but I will continue to push on and apply again next year. I wanted to thank everyone for your awesome support. Good luck OT's!

I was rejected on Friday as well. Good luck to everyone accepted!!

Hi everyone,

I personally visited Bay Path yesterday and Lynn George gave me a tour of the new health science building. Here is the information I gathered so far:
1. There will be about 140 students currently in this cohort. We will be the largest class thus far in Bay Path( last year was around 130). Lectures will usually comprise of all 140 students while labs will be broken down into smaller sections( around 35 students for each lab i believe).
2. The entire second floor of the new health science building is devoted to occupational therapy classes/labs, and the majority(if not all) of our academic courses will be located there. The building is absolutely beautiful with various simulation rooms designed for each subject(ex. one sim. room for psychosocial, one sim. room for pediatrics, etc).
3. The cost of in state vs. out of state tuition is the same.
4. For all those looking for housing, Lynn George will send an email to students who have registered and link together those students to see if they can split/find housing together.
5. You must maintain at least a B- in each course(80%). However, Lynn George assured me that if a student struggles to do so then he/she may drop to half time to slow the pace of the program(which greatly relieves me).

I haven't met any of the faculty yet, but so far, I must say I was quite impressed about the program.

@Confusedandlostone Thanks for sharing that info! What a big cohort! Does anyone know if we can pay the deposit online... I haven't gotten around to sending that in yet. & @JayEmBee1301002 I was accepted off the wait list on 5/4.... it's so hard to wait, but good luck to you, I hope you will get in too! 🙂
