Deadline to sign up is fast approaching,

I have the 2012 ACCP material and 2013 ASHP material for the BCACP test. I need some motivation and help studying, if you have the 2013 ACCP, lets make a deal and start a study group.

I think I flunk. :/ I didn't study policies and procedures. I focused too much on therapeutics and biostatistics. I think I did well on those 2 sections and that's about it. I had no clue what to do with P&P. I've never guessed on that many questions in my entire life. Sigh! I thought the therapeutics and biostatistics/study designs portions were reasonable. I took it on 9/25 and I'm still thinking about the darn exam today. I guess I'm just bummed that I didn't study P&P. Oh well, next year. HA!

It's weird that nobody is posting anything about BCACP, but everyone is posting about BCPS.

Well, the bcps is more popular, I took it and I thought the test was tough. Random questions and nothing like the Accp study material. I guessed on almost the whole test. If it makes you feel better, I felt the same way for bcps last year and I passed.

You thought the BCACP exam questions were nothing like the ACCP study material? Or did you mean the BCPS questions? What did you think about the BCACP exam?

The bcacp was just as random as bcps but it sucked cause not as much stats as bcps to help your score. This year we get an email so we just wait until December for the honor of paying them even more money. ..haha

Yeah, I agree. I would rather have more stats than the stupid P&P questions. It's my fault for not studying those chapters though. I liked the therapeutics part. Some questions were straightforward but some were a bit confusing. There were a few OTC questions which I didn't expect to see on the exam. It's like I was taking NAPLEX, which was 14 years ago. HA!

Hi...

I'm sorry guys for interrupting without actually providing info 😀 I will just start practicing pharmacy and I want to extend my certifications.

I am a Rph (not pharmD) and I don't know whether I can do BCACP or BCPS! I don't even know what those are! Can you please shed light to which settings either could be helpful? Do I need to have any experiences? And do I need to do any online classes?

Which is a more needed and more practical certification to go after? Are there any others?

Thanks a lot but I love learning more but I want to make the right decisions and it seems you guys are the right people to ask...

Thanks a lot again... Will be waiting impatiently for your response...

You can definitely take the BCACP exam. I'm not PharmD and I took the exam in Sept. However, I don't think they'll allow you to take the BCPS exam unless you work in a hospital setting. You can get the review materials from http://www.accp.com. I'm pretty sure you can get amb care materials from APhA, too. Good luck! 🙂

Thank you so much Kuvan for your thorough and concise response...

I was worried because I can see that being an Rph (not a pharmD) can hinder me trying to do further studies...

Plus, I wanted to know which would be more beneficial and more needed in the medical field... Thanks a lot... You really raised my hopes 🙂 Good luck to you too 😉 God bless...
