Hey guys, I had a question regarding a chemistry class I took, and if it will be counted in my BCPM gpa. I go to UC irvine, and during my first quarter freshman year, I took a class called Chem 1P (prepatory chemistry) prior to beginning the general chemistry series (Chem 1A-B-C). Unfortunately, I was a slacker and earned a C in that class. 🙁 Will that class be looked at as a prerequisite, even though it is only a prepatory class that just essentially prepares you for the normal chem classes? Thanks a lot.

Well its not a prerequesite, but if its labled as a Chemistry class then Id imagine it goes towards your science GPA.

I was in the same boat...I took a preparatory Chem class and got a C. It counted in both the sGPA and the BCP GPA. It is nice that it is not a pre-requisite course, but it still counts equally in your science GPA's. Unfortunately (at least in my case), all of the chemistry's count in the BCP and sGPA's.
