I have a question about the BCPM gpa. I am taking a class and I am interested if it is counted toward my bcpm gpa.

the class is a physics class but it is also under a teaching category.

in my transcript it only comes up as physics. the exact class is

PHY 206- Nature of Physical Processes

Subject: Physics

course description- A culturally oriented course and associated laboratory for liberal arts students who seek to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the style and status of modern physical inquiry. Topics will be drawn from Newtonian mechanics, quantum theory, relativity and nuclear physics.

3 class hours, 2 laboratory hours.

The class is primarily physics based, learning of kinematics, mechanics and other physics concepts. As stated in my transcript it comes up as PHY 206 but it is also part of another departement, SLS. Will this course count toward my bcpm gpa?

Also I have asked this next question many times and never really got a direct answer but will psych statistics count toward my BCPM? It was primarily a statistics class with an emphasis on psychology.

Thank you

PHY 206 = physics so yes. From above, psych statistics focuses on stats = math, so yes (assuming it's recognized as a stat class in your class). See my signature (science GPA link) for future reference

Thanks for the response and the psy stats class is PSY 266- Statistics in Psychology, so i am assuming it should be recogonized as a stat class.

Also I noticed when the prefix is SLS the subject also states physics. The only reason I am worried is because I wanted to take something to bring up my bcpm gpa while also helping me on the mcat and there was nothing else open for the winter session that would of been any use.
