How much does the difference matter? My BCPM is 3 tenths lower than my overall, granted I have many classes left to complete, but still if this trend is to continue how much does it matter?
Three tenths isn't a huge difference. That being said in general BCPM is usually looked at more carefully. How much does the difference matter? My BCPM is 3 tenths lower than my overall, granted I have many classes left to complete, but still if this trend is to continue how much does it matter?
Biology Chemistry Phyics Math. IOW your science GPA using those subjects. When you apply your total GPA is further divided into BCPM and All others (AO).what does BCPM mean?😕
There is nothing necessarily "bad" about a difference. Last I recall, the average AO gpa for matriculants is actually a little bit higher. Probably because science courses are more intense. Just keep in mind the average total gpa for accepted students is a 3.65ish. So try to shoot for that with both categories.I'm a psych major, 3.8 overall, 3.5 bcpm. I have a lot of courses left to bump it up so I'm not concerned, just curious how bad it is if there's a difference like this.
Oh. I thought it was BCPM versus Overall, where the overall included the science courses. In that case it's a 4.0 overall.Biology Chemistry Phyics Math. IOW your science GPA using those subjects. When you apply your total GPA is further divided into BCPM and All others (AO).
Sorry, I think I confused you. There are three GPA's reported on the AMCAS application. BCPM, AO (All others, aka everything not bcpm) and total (BCPM and AO).Oh. I thought it was BCPM versus Overall, where the overall included the science courses. In that case it's a 4.0 overall.
