Hello,

I've been researching alot about becoming an Radiographer. I've been trying to find Online Degree schools, I found one for a BS in Radiography but you must have a Associates in Health Science, My question is If I go for my Associates of Science Degree in Medical Assisting. Would this help me in my goal of a BS in Radiography. I would like to get my AS in Medical Assisting get an Entry job with that Degree, then go for that BS in Radiography I saw online while I work at an hospital or medical office.

Would this work?

Thank You.

I know it's easier to do just go to a college but I have to work and Online is just how I do better work and quicker.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that most radiology residents/hopefuls/current doctors are not going to know much about what the best route to getting a BS in radiography is. I think there is a forum for allied health. That's a better place to ask.

Find out what the prerequisites are for getting a BS in radiography. Then see if the classes you take for Medical assisting have some of the same prerequisites. Then ask the online institution if your credits from medical assisting will count toward your BS in radiography.

Have you thought about night classes for the BS? Lots of people go this route. The heads of companies even get MBAs through evening 'executive' MBA training. Anyways, realize that no matter which route you decide to go, know that your 'clinicals' training will almost certainly have to be done during the day.

I also agree with above. Check the alllied health forums for an RT forum... If not we can try to have one set up.

Good luck.
