Hello, I'm getting CPR online. Just want to make sure that any place that certifies CPR is fine to become certified via.

Not all places will accept an online cert. The hospital that required me to get my CPT cert. specifically stated that it had to be done in person.

There are blended courses that have the material and tests online and then a short practice session - these are acceptable.

Not all schools will accept a ~purely~ online certification.

My school did not accept online certification AND they only accepted certain CPR certs too (specific certifying agencies).

Either American Heart Association or American Red Cross? I thought this was standard. There are literally dozens certifying agencies, but they all answer to either AHA or Red Cross or both.
Mine is from some Frontline Health thing, but it says "American Heart Association" on the card.

If my memory serves me correctly the class is only a few hours long. I would just take an afternoon off and knock it out in person rather than take an online course that a lot of people won't accept.

Just go to AHA or American Red Cross website and find a site in your city that offers BLS for Health Professionals. You may be able to do a blended course where you learn the material and take the test online and then bring the certificate to a hands-on session where you practice on dummies and get your card. Otherwise CPR takes a couple hours at most and is often offered on weekends.

When have you been asked for your CPR certificate?

I checked at American Red Cross and it says the certificate is valid 2 years. In your cases have you had to renew? Can you still count as certified if you took the class?
There's adult, children, and infant CPR.

After 2 years are up, you have to take a refresher course, not a brand new course. I don't know the format of the refresher because I just got my initial card a couple weeks ago.
