I looked up on the archives which state schools allow students to claim residency of that state after a year or two and only found a discussion from pre-vet. Will people that have been through it or people that know for sure start a list for those interested, so applying dental students will know? you can list terms and conditions if needed. Any students that have gone through it, will you please say if it was worth it/ what you had to do, etc?
Thanks

Schools that allow you to apply for state residency and gain in state tuition:

Schools that do not allow you to gain in state tuition:

If you do all the right things (ie. cut ties with your current state and establish new ties in MD - bank accounts, drivers license, car registration, apartment lease, community involvement, etc.) then you can get in-state in Maryland after a year, and for sure after two years. But you have to follow a very specific set of steps.

during my interviews, UCSF, UCLA, UConn and Buffalo all said that you can become an in state resident after 1 year provided you follow the procedures listed in the previous post...
