Hi,
I am a first-year postbac and I am trying to schedule my classes for next semester. This semester I took Gen Chem 1 and lab, Bio II, and College Algebra. I wanted to take Physics, but algebra was a required pre-req. The university that I am at does not offer Physics I again (algebra-based) until next fall, so I am going to have to take that next fall, which I am a little annoyed about because I will not have Physics fully covered until May of 2011, leaving me little time to be properly prepared for the MCAT before September.
In any case, I was wondering what you thought of this schedule for spring semester.
1.) Gen Chem II and lab
2.) Anatomy and Physiology I with lab
3.) Statistics
4.) Behavioral Neuroscience or Neuroanatomy (Neuroanatomy with lab). I am trying to get into Neuroanatomy, but it has Bio I or Behavioral Neuroscience as a prereq. I took Physiological Psych in college, and we are covering the nervous system in Bio II right now, so I am hoping the professor will allow me to take it, given my background. If I don't get in, then I might take Behav. Neuroscience
Do you think that taking the extra 4th course (Neuroscience or Neuroanatomy) is a good idea/worth it? I am a little worried it might be a little too much on top of volunteering, but at the same time, I am not working, so it might look like too light of a class load to take only 3 classes.
