And I don't think it matters, if anything you will have something different to talk about in your application as compared to others which could help diversify you. CNA, EMT can become common among applications, I would imagine anything "different" about those experiences compared to the norm can only help you.
I don't think so. I've seen other applicants with a CNA background do just fine with their applications. Talk about how the experience has pushed you in the direction of medicine and specifically becoming a physician (rather than a nurse).
