I thought I would try something new and post about something good a technician did for me today. She noticed I had rubberbanded two different patient's medications together and put them in our sorting area to be sent out that way. It's boring and technical to explain how exactly I managed to do that but the bottom line is I wasn't paying enough attention and thought both labels were for one patient when really they were for two different people who happened to be getting the same medication. So woot woot and a shout out to all the techs out there who are catching their pharmacist's mistakes!

Of course that isn't going to stop me from making her cry any chance I get but still it was a nice change of pace. 😉

when i read the title and saw you posted i seriously thought you made someone cry again

My first day ever as an Rph, I put two patients meds in the same bag and the tech caught it. Now I double check every time I bag something.

Amen, a good tech is the cornerstone of the pharmacy. Don't get it twisted.
A great tech is definitely the cornerstone. I am so grateful for the great techs I have! I work with so many now; it’s amazing. My old job didn’t even have one great tech.

By definition the great tech is never the tech that refers to themselves as the “super tech” and claims they run the pharmacy by themselves.🙄
