would it be worth to apply this cycle?
😕

should i just wait? the more i read sdn the more i fell that i dont have a chance..😳

whats your sci gpa? Your e/c's look pretty good to me. You're more than welcome to join the underdog thread.

i actually transferred schools started at a harder school, 2 years got a 2.65
one year at my new state school taking mostly , prettymuch all sciences, got a 3.7

still need to do 2 retakes, should have a 3.2 by the end of the fall semester.

ive also shadowed a doc and watched like seven surgerys, pretty awesome, although im not sure schools would care about that. 😕

i didnt think i qualf as an underdog, i dont even have a 3.0 and my MCAT is lower than a 30. i was under the assumption that it was either or that could fall below the average.

Well with a 3.0/28 and good ec's you might be able to land a acceptance. However if you want to get into one of the bigger D.O schools or are partial to location. Well then you might want to consider participating in D.O grade replacement.

Feels like we've had this conversation before...

If it were me, I'd apply. You will likely get in somewhere if you apply broadly enough. Do NOT worry about what everyone on SDN is saying doing. As evidenced by other threads, many of them don't look at published AACOM data before giving advice. Wait if you want, but you could probably get in somewhere this year.

+1 👍. My stats are similar to yours...i'm applying, so I say APPLY! If things don't pan out, your application will be that much better the next go around.

If you can financially afford to, it wouldn't hurt to much to give it a shot & apply. If you do not get in anywhere, a lot of the schools will be willing to give you advice on why you didn't make it and how to make your application stronger (if you shoot them an email after rejection). In that case, use the extra year to follow their advice 🙂
